Summer Camp Cooking Class Assistant

About the role

Apart from the regular cooking classes, you will assist the Instructor in creating amazing cooking camps for kids from the age of four up into the teens.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
• Setup before class, including preparing ingredients, activities, and pre-baking as needed for a class
• Absorb and teach guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu
• Keep the kitchen running smoothly, sparkling clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after the class
• Create a controlled, safe, clean, and friendly environment for all clients
• Follow directions in a fast-paced environment and move quickly
• Have a natural curiosity and passion for food and culinary entertainment
• Have an upbeat personality with a smile on your face the majority of the time
• Be eager and willing to get your hands dirty
• Communicate effectively with all ages
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have at least one or more years of experience entertaining kids
• Have relevant cooking and restaurant experience (not required)
• Have formal teaching experience and training in education and childhood development (not required)
• Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds
• Enjoy the small business atmosphere
