Responsibilities

• Prepares, purchases, stores, and serves nutritious meals to children in accordance with program guidelines.
• Serves meals and cleans up.
• Supervises children at mealtimes.
• Accounts for dishwashing.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen, storeroom, and dining area.
• Assists in maintaining all equipment in proper working order.
• Assists with program-related record keeping and monitoring as assigned.
• Purchases, receives, and stores food and supply items used for SFSP.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the SFSP Coordinator & Head Cook.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada Driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Indian preference applies.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation and health procedures.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of program regulation and record keeping.
• Knowledge and experience in quantity cooking.
• Knowledge of supervisor techniques and supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to compile records.
