About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our team at the Dollar Tree store located in Spanish Fort, Alabama. This role is vital in ensuring that each customer enjoys a positive shopping experience by providing friendly, efficient, and professional service.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service within retail, hospitality, grocery, or related industries is highly preferred
- The ability to follow instructions accurately and interpret operational documents
- Physical stamina to lift between 30 and 50 pounds, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive movements
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A friendly demeanor, professionalism, and a commitment to creating a positive environment for customers and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Assist customers by answering questions, providing recommendations, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, managing sales transactions and handling cash securely
- Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets at all times
- Keep the store well-stocked by replenishing merchandise and recovering items from sales floor areas
- Receive and unload merchandise shipments, ensuring timely restocking in accordance with productivity standards
- Create a positive, safe, and respectful shopping environment by engaging professionally and courteously with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping floors, and taking out trash
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support store operations and customer satisfaction
