Summer Camp Cooking Class Instructor

About the role

Taste Buds Kitchen offers a unique opportunity for culinary entertainment. You will interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction and manage a team of culinary assistants for larger camps.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
• Engage and teach guests about various cooking and baking skills related to the class menu
• Set up before class and clean-up after
• Provide first aid / CPR treatment if needed
• Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work solo or manage a team of culinary assistants for larger camps
• Communicate well with children and have an upbeat personality with an infectious smile
• Enjoy the small business atmosphere and stand for long periods of time while lifting up to 45 pounds

Requirements

• You are a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly
• You have a natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment
• You have an upbeat personality with an infectious smile
• You are eager to get your hands dirty
• You communicate well with children
• You are confident in a range of cooking and baking techniques
• You are comfortable speaking in front of a group with an amplified speaking voice
• You have at least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults
• You have formal teaching experience and training in education and childhood development
• You are first aid/CPR certified

Qualifications

• You are able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 45 pounds
