Responsibilities
- Facilities Engineering Intern: Operate and validate electrical and mechanical systems, develop documentation, and contribute to special projects.
- Water Treatment Engineering Intern: Support the operation and validation of water treatment systems, develop documentation, and contribute to special projects.
- Gas & Chemical Engineering Intern: Assist in the operation and validation of gas and chemical systems, develop documentation, and contribute to special projects.
- Design & Construction Division Engineer Intern: Manage systems for storing and distributing specialty and bulk chemicals and gases, oversee construction activities, and troubleshoot commissioning challenges.
- Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Intern: Collaborate with construction teams to oversee concrete, steel structures, and architectural finishes, troubleshoot construction hold-ups, and respond to RFIs.
- Electrical Systems Construction Intern: Collaborate with construction teams and crews on electrical systems, monitor and track installation activities, and resolve commissioning issues.
- Mechanical System Construction Intern: Collaborate with construction teams and crews on systems such as HVAC, clean room systems, air abatement, and process water systems, monitor and track construction activities, and resolve commissioning issues.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related engineering fields.
- Must be able to work full-time for 10 weeks (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from: Semester system: May 24, 2027 to August 6, 2027; June 7, 2027 to August 20, 2027; Quarter system: June 14, 2027 to August 27, 2027.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and design is a strong plus.
- Flexibility to change priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
- Strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, working with others needed to contribute to the team and TSMC Arizona’s culture.
Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Some roles may require the ability to lift weights in accordance with applicable regulations and safety guidelines, including NIOSH lifting recommendations.
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment, gowning up in coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Spend significant amount of time on the factory floor working on the tools.
