Operations/Fab related roles
- Process Integration Engineer (PID): Analyze inline and EOL electrical data to determine causes for issues, collaborate with Integration, YED, and Process/Equipment engineers.
- Yield Excellence Engineer (YED): Develop defect inspection methodologies to deduce root cause of critical issues and innovate current techniques.
- Process Engineer (PE): Deliver robust and efficient semiconductor manufacturing through data-driven analytics and systematic problem-solving.
- Equipment Engineer (EE): Improve and maintain tool performance in a cleanroom environment to ensure quality production.
- Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer (MFG): Ensure timely delivery of high-quality wafers by driving productivity and efficiency through advanced technologies.
- Advanced Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer: Focus on automated systems that ensure efficient, timely, and accurate wafer transfers.
- Quality Management Engineer (AQE): Support TSMC's mission of world-class quality systems by collaborating with Taiwan's Central Quality team.
- Product Engineer (PES): Analyze yield and process issues to support customer needs and drive improvements in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Mask Process/Equipment Engineer (EBO): Ensure the performance, reliability, and efficiency of photomask tools within advanced manufacturing operations.
- Central Start-Up (CST) Tool Install Engineer: Support the installation of manufacturing equipment and tools by conducting site assessments and developing improvement proposals.
- Industrial Safety & Health (ISEP) Engineer: Focus on supporting and promoting workplace safety and environmental sustainability efforts in advanced semiconductor facilities.
- Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Engineer: Work on projects like pattern recognition, machine learning, and web development while learning agile software development.
Facility, Design & Construction related roles
- Facilities Electrical Engineer: Support the operation and validation of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, diesel generators, UPS, and transmission lines.
- Facilities Mechanical Engineer: Assist in the operation and validation of mechanical systems, including cleanroom and non-cleanroom HVAC, air abatement, and chilled water systems.
- Facilities Water Treatment Engineer: Support the operation and validation of water treatment systems, including ultrapure water and wastewater systems.
- Facilities Gas & Chemical Engineer: Assist in the operation and validation of gas and chemical systems, including pure chemical delivery, slurry chemical delivery, bulk and specialty gases, and chemical waste systems.
- Chemical System Construction Engineer: Work closely with TSMC construction and engineering teams to manage systems for storing and distributing specialty and bulk chemicals and gases.
- Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Engineer: Collaborate with TSMC construction teams and crews to oversee concrete, steel structures, and architectural finishes.
- Electrical Systems Construction Engineer: Collaborate with TSMC construction teams, electrical engineers, and crews on electrical systems ranging from low voltage to high voltage (up to 230kV).
- Water System Construction Engineer: Collaborate with TSMC construction teams, mechanical and water engineers, and crews on advanced ultra-pure water systems and specialty wastewater treatment systems.
- Mechanical System Control Engineer: Collaborate with TSMC construction teams, mechanical engineers, and crews on systems such as HVAC, clean room systems, air abatement, and process water systems.
Supporting function roles
- Information Technology (IT): Support IT infrastructure and operations.
- Quality & Reliability (QR): Ensure product reliability and quality through testing and analysis.
- Corporate Planning Organization (CPO): Manage resources and production planning.
