Responsibilities

  • Process Integration Engineer (PID) Intern: Analyze Inline and EOL electrical data to determine causes for issues, collaborate with Integration, YED, and Process/Equipment engineers.
  • Yield Excellence Engineer (YED) Intern: Develop defect inspection methodologies to deduce root causes of critical issues and innovate current techniques.
  • Process Engineer (PE) Intern: Optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes using data-driven analytics and systematic problem-solving techniques.
  • Equipment Engineer (EE) Intern: Improve and maintain tool performance in a cleanroom environment, troubleshoot alarms, install and qualify new tools, and resolve critical equipment issues.
  • Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer Intern (MFG): Drive productivity and efficiency through advanced technologies like Smart Scheduling and Precise Dispatching.
  • Advanced Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer Intern: Enhance automated systems for efficient wafer transfers and improve lot movement and cycle times.
  • Quality Management Engineer (AQE) Intern: Monitor wafer fabrication processes, analyze manufacturing parameters, and apply statistical methods to optimize process control.
  • Product Engineering (PES) Intern: Analyze yield and process issues to support customer needs and drive improvements in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Mask Engineering Intern (EBO): Ensure the performance, reliability, and efficiency of photomask tools within advanced manufacturing operations.
  • Central Start-Up (CST) Tool Install Engineer Intern: Support the installation of manufacturing equipment and tools by conducting site assessments, preparing installation plans, and coordinating timelines.
  • Industrial Safety & Health (ISEP) Engineer Intern: Promote workplace safety and environmental sustainability efforts in advanced semiconductor facilities.
  • Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Engineer Intern: Address production line issues through analytical projects, machine vision tasks, and learn agile software development.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related engineering fields.
  • Full-time commitment of 10 weeks (40 hours per week) from May 24, 2027 to August 6, 2027 (Semester system) or June 14, 2027 to August 27, 2027 (Quarter system).
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
  • Self-motivated learners with strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift weights and work in a cleanroom environment, including gowning up in coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, and gloves.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and design is a strong asset.

Pay

Interns will receive a competitive stipend based on their academic standing and experience.

Schedule

Interns will work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from May 24, 2027 to August 6, 2027 (Semester system) or June 14, 2027 to August 27, 2027 (Quarter system).
