Summer 2027 Consulting Internship - Organizational Excellence, Medicaid
BerryDunn is seeking an Organizational Excellence Intern to join our Medicaid Practice Group, focusing on supporting clients within the area of Organizational Excellence and Development. This role will be a success partner to State Medicaid agencies, participating in projects related to Organizational Excellence and Development.
About the role
During your internship, you will partner with your supervisor and other experienced team members and firm leaders to grow personally and professionally. The internship provides an opportunity to become familiar with consulting, the firm’s systems, operations, and relationships, while building organizational excellence capacity for clients and internal teams. The full-time summer internship will be based at our Portland, ME office. Upon successful completion, and depending on business need, we offer ongoing employment opportunities with remote or hybrid options serving clients nationwide.
The summer session runs from May 25, 2027, to August 6, 2027. An unofficial academic transcript must be included with your application.
Responsibilities
- Support one or more client projects with work such as written communication, analysis, client meetings, managing action items, and tracking and reporting on project progress.
- Engage in a supportive team environment to gain an understanding of consulting.
- Develop tools, methods, and practices to help teams deliver organizational excellence and development support to clients.
- Research best practices and build implementation schedules to develop maturity in organizational development practices.
- Focus on personal development with your supervisor through learning objectives aligned with BerryDunn’s consulting competencies.
- Participate in new business development through activities such as research, supporting proposal content, or developing marketing materials.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS/MS Degree program in information systems, health analytics, or business management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Relevant work experience in one of the above fields is a plus.
- Drive and initiative to learn.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship building and teamwork.
- Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $30 per hour. This rate may vary based on experience, education, or other qualifications beyond the minimum requirements. Compensation decisions depend on factors such as years of experience, depth of expertise, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant considerations.
