Summer 2027 Consulting Internship - Medicaid
BerryDunn is seeking a Consulting Intern to join our Medicaid Practice Group, focusing on supporting state Medicaid agencies with IT modernization projects. This 10-week, full-time summer internship is based in Kapolei, Hawai'i, and offers a dynamic, in-person learning experience with opportunities to connect with other interns and experience company culture. Upon successful completion, ongoing employment opportunities with remote or hybrid options may be available.
About the role
As a Consulting Intern, you will support client projects through written communication, analysis, and activities such as assisting in client meetings, managing action items, and tracking project progress. You’ll work in a team environment to gain consulting experience while focusing on personal development with guidance from your supervisor. Additionally, you may participate in new business development through research, proposal support, or marketing materials.
Responsibilities
- Support one or more client projects with tasks such as written communication, analysis, and project tracking.
- Assist in client meetings, manage action items, and report on project progress.
- Engage in a team environment to understand consulting practices.
- Develop learning objectives aligned with BerryDunn’s consulting competencies.
- Participate in new business development activities, including research and proposal support.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS/MS Degree program in information systems, health analytics, or business management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relevant work experience in the fields above is a plus.
- Demonstrated drive, initiative to learn, and experience in relationship building and teamwork.
- Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Schedule
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship running from May 25, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $30 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other qualifications.
