Summer 2027 Consulting Internship - Medicaid
About the role
BerryDunn is seeking a Consulting Intern to join our Medicaid Practice Group, focusing on supporting state Medicaid agencies with IT modernization projects. This 10-week, full-time summer internship is based at our Portland, ME headquarters and runs from May 25, 2027, to August 6, 2027. Upon successful completion, there may be opportunities for ongoing employment with remote or hybrid options. The internship offers dynamic, in-person learning, connection with other interns, and firsthand experience of our company culture.
Responsibilities
- Support one or more client projects with tasks such as written communication, analysis, client meetings, managing action items, and tracking/reporting project progress.
- Engage in a supportive team environment to gain an understanding of consulting.
- Focus on personal and professional development through learning objectives aligned with BerryDunn’s consulting competencies.
- Participate in new business development activities, including research, proposal support, or developing marketing materials.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS/MS Degree program in information systems, health analytics, or business management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relevant work experience in the fields above is a plus.
- Demonstrated drive, initiative to learn, and experience in relationship building and teamwork.
- Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel.

Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $30 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other qualifications.
