Job Summary

Prepares, seasons, and cooks dishes. Directly supervises: None.

How You Will Create The Extraordinary

• Affords daily preparations and preparation lists on a daily basis.
• Cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to the menu and number of people to be served.
• Prepares produce for service.
• Cuts meat.
• Follows prescribed sanitary safeguards in handling all food and cleaning all surfaces.
• Abides by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions.

What You Will Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• High School Diploma/GED and one to three months of related experience.
• Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be comfortable initiating conversations and a fun environment for guests.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to push/pull or lift to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to promote a positive influence in the company and company-sponsored events.
• Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
