About the District

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union (RNESU) is located in the northeast section of Rutland County and the southwest section of Addison County, Vermont. The supervisory union supports six elementary schools and one middle/high school, serving approximately 1,500 students from Pre‑K through 12th grade. RNESU is dedicated to the development of character, competence, creativity and community and serves the towns of Brandon, Chittenden, Goshen, Leicester, Mendon, Pittsford, Sudbury and Whiting. The region offers abundant outdoor, cultural, and educational opportunities, including nearby attractions such as the Paramount Theater, Pico Mountain, the Appalachian and Long Trails, Killington Mountain, and several colleges.

Qualifications

• Teacher, Paraeducator, and Custodial Substitutes must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Transportation Staff Substitutes must be 21 years or older, have a clean driving record, and hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement. If not currently licensed, training assistance is available.
