Substitute (SUB) Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach recreational activities
• Teach activities of daily living
• Provide personal care services
• Support community integration for adults with developmental disabilities
• Perform other duties such as transporting clients
• Complete and maintain accurate reports
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Make sound decisions while handling challenging situations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting the organization's standards
• Ability to complete and maintain required training in accordance with organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, and percentages

• Ability to make sound decisions
• Physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional use of hands to finger, handle, and touch
• Work environment exposure to outside weather conditions and moderate noise levels
