Substitute (SUB) Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

About the role

St. Coletta of Wisconsin is seeking Substitute/Pool Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to cross-train between areas to provide support for adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include planning and teaching recreational activities, providing personal care, supporting community integration, transporting clients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach recreational activities
• Provide personal care and support for activities of daily living
• Support community integration
• Transport clients
• Complete and maintain accurate reports
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Make sound decisions while handling challenging situations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting the organization's standards
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities
• Ability to respond to and de-escalate behavior issues
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
