Substitute (SUB) Direct Support Professional/Caregiver
About the role
St Coletta of Wisconsin is seeking Substitute/Pool Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in various locations including Jefferson, Waukesha, and Brookfield, Wisconsin. As a DSP, you will cross-train between areas to be a versatile support provider. Your responsibilities include planning and teaching recreational activities, providing personal care, supporting community integration, and performing other duties such as transportation and report completion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach recreational activities
- Provide personal care and support for adults with developmental disabilities
- Transport clients as needed
- Complete and maintain accurate reports
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Make sound decisions in challenging situations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks as described above
Qualifications
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities
- Ability to respond to and de-escalate behavior issues
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the organization

Pay
