About the role
Learn Academy is seeking a Substitute Teacher for its location in Fresno. The rate is $29.28 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions, de-escalation, pre-crisis and post-crisis interventions
- Instruct students in the absence of regularly scheduled educators
- Assist with classroom management, behavior documentation, and reporting
- Implement social/emotional/behavioral interventions
- Participate in teaching and instruction
- Follow a school schedule
- Work variable days/hours
- Collaborate and receive feedback, mentoring, and direction from peers and supervisors
- Maintain a professional and clinical perspective at all times
- Safely and effectively use Crisis Management Interventions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Active and valid Substitute or other Education teaching certificate issued by California State Department of Education
- Experience working with emotional and/or behaviorally challenged students preferred
- PCMA certified (optional)
Qualifications
Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States.
