About the role

AECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced finance/accounting professional for a Subcontractor Prequalification Specialist position to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Performs professional level accounting support, related to moderately complex accounting tasks.
  • Applies professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner.
  • Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Performs audits and generates special financial reports as needed.
  • Works under moderate supervision of daily work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction related contracts.
  • Analyze and present data for evaluation by providing basic insights of analytics, identifying red flags or areas needing additional information.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or similar curriculum and 2 years of relevant accounting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Accounting experience from A/E/C (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
  • Experience in project accounting.
  • Experience with CMIC or COMPASS or other database systems.
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with MS Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with subcontractors.
  • Basic knowledge of CSI codes and associated scope risk.

Pay

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $51,894.05 to $90,814.59 yearly.

This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
