Student Worker-Audio Visual Technology

About the role

Assisting AVT Staff with classroom audio-visual equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Performing periodic preventative maintenance (cleaning) of the audio-visual equipment in classrooms (on and off-campus locations) and inventory.
• Computer cart set-ups and retrievals on campus.
• Assisting with equipment installation in classrooms.
• Support of campus events (equipment set-ups, teardowns, and providing technical support).
• Videotaping of ceremonies and events on campus.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current HCC student for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
• Unless a first-semester student, must have attained a 2.0 semester GPA during the last semester attended.
• Must have computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and operation of audio-visual equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and be comfortable using a ladder.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is preferred with an acceptable driving record.
• Videography and editing skills are helpful.
