About the role

Ralph Schugar Chapel is a family-owned and operated funeral home serving Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. We are experts in Jewish funeral care and serve all denominations. We are seeking bright, motivated students to gain hands-on experience in the funeral industry.

Responsibilities

• Learn proper care and handling of deceased
• Run deliveries and errands
• Create funeral software and paperwork
• Practice telephone skills and join the "on-call" schedule as needed
• Absorb responsibilities such as occasional removals, staff parking lot duties, and general cleaning and maintenance
• Engage in varied daily tasks that offer opportunities for learning and growth

Requirements

• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work and contribute to a team environment
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
