About the role

The Student Support Liaison promotes student success by providing holistic, student-centered support across various service areas. This role serves as a key point of contact for students, ensuring persistence by proactively engaging them and removing barriers to success. The liaison collaborates with university departments to resolve student inquiries and fosters a culture of care aligned with the institution’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to student questions and concerns, connecting them to appropriate university resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience.
  • Assist students with appointment scheduling, portal navigation, and self-service tools.
  • Promote and support student opportunities such as federal work study, student organizations, peer tutoring, and the Chamberlain Care Closet.
  • Plan and facilitate events (e.g., career fairs, open houses, workshops, graduation) in collaboration with the Campus Support Coordinator.
  • Assist students with questions regarding local and state funding, military services, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Serve as the point of contact for compliance audits.
  • Identify opportunities and implement process and technology solutions to enhance student retention.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of enterprise applications and business processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
  • 1+ year of experience in higher education, customer service, or a related field (Required).
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization skills.
  • Exposure to software and tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Copilot).
  • Experience with Student Information Systems (a plus).
  • Knowledge of higher education federal and state regulations.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

Pay

The expected hourly pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $25.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, training, geographic location, licensure, market factors, and departmental budgets.
