About the role

The Student Support Coordinator at Crossroads Preparatory Academy, KCMO, reports to the Program Director and works within the Program Operations department. This role is classified as exempt and full-time, with a 40-hour work week primarily during school hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the SparkWheel Model of Integrated Student Supports.
  • Conduct a thorough review of schools and case managed student needs and assets annually.
  • Lead the goal setting process with approximately 55 case managed students annually.
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of Integrated Student Supports.
  • Data collection and reflection.
  • Manage budget and wisely monitor and utilize various resources.
  • Advocate, promote, and practice cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
  • Other Position Functions: Manage budget and wisely monitor and utilize various resources; Refrain from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position; Develops, promotes and practices teamwork in all activities; Advocate, promote and practice cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions; Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Qualifications

  • At least one to three years’ experience in working with schools and/or families and youth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with school administrators, personnel, students, parents, and the public.
  • Ability to set and maintain healthy professional boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think, process information, and act quickly.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities yet is an effective team member.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education, public administration, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel – trainings, meetings, home visits, travel between school sites, etc.

  • Pay Range: $45,551 per year
