Student Services Assistant, College of Agricultural Sciences

This position is located in the Office for Undergraduate Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences and supports the office's student success mission.

Responsibilities

  • Support the college scholarship program by processing student awards, maintaining databases, and responding to inquiries
  • Serve as College SEEQ (Student Educational Experience Questionnaire) Representative by maintaining access for college users, training and disseminating SEEQ information, responding to SEEQ questions and investigating issues, and ensuring policies are followed
  • Coordinate and assist with events for the Associate Dean, including events related to teaching excellence and professional development
  • Assist with student engagement activities, programs, and initiatives including preparing and distributing the weekly student newsletter, tracking engagement activities, and identifying potential opportunities to support student engagement
  • Update and maintain website content
  • Record and post meeting minutes for meetings within the Undergraduate Education office
  • Provide support and coverage for other administrative staff as needed

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with eSteward (Penn State's database related to alumni gifts and endowments), Plone, and FileMaker (preferred)

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience requirements depend on the grade at which the position is filled:

  • Student Services Assistant - Intermediate Support: General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Student Services Assistant - Senior Support: Associate Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Schedule

This position is primarily on-site at Penn State's University Park campus. Requests to work one day a week remotely may be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,608.00 - $64,668.00.
