Student Services Assistant, College of Agricultural Sciences
About the role
The Office for Undergraduate Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences seeks to fill the full-time position of Student Services Assistant. This position will support the college scholarship program, serve as College SEEQ Representative, coordinate events, assist with student engagement activities, update websites, record meeting minutes, and provide administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Support the college scholarship program by processing student awards, maintaining databases, and responding to inquiries
- Serve as College SEEQ Representative by maintaining access for college users, training and disseminating SEEQ information, responding to SEEQ questions and investigating issues, and ensuring policies are being followed
- Cook up and assist with events for the Associate Dean, including events related to teaching excellence and professional development
- Afford assistance and support to student engagement activities, programs, and initiatives including preparing and distributing the weekly student newsletter, tracking engagement activities, and identifying potential opportunities to support student engagement
- Update and maintain website content
- Responsible for recording and posting meeting minutes for meetings within the Undergraduate Education office
- Provide support and coverage for other administrative staff as needed
Qualifications
- Preferred proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with eSteward (Penn State's database related to alumni gifts and endowments)
- Experience with Plone
- Experience with FileMaker

Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications
- If filled as Student Services Assistant - Intermediate Support, this position requires: General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience
- If filled as Student Services Assistant - Senior Support, this position requires: Associate Degree 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $40,608.00 - $64,668.00. Salary Structure - Information on Penn State's salary structure
