Student Nurse, L&D

Job Requirements

• Participates in the nursing process by providing supportive patient care.
• Affords assistance with delegated direct care activities as needed.
• Performs tasks consistent with educational background, clinical competencies, and organizational policies.
• Accesses and transports medications as per institutional policy.
• Maintains awareness of patient parameters and reports findings.
• Contributes observations about patient status and responses to treatments.
• Collaborates with the registered nurse in developing nursing care plans.
• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited pre-licensure MSN, BSN, or ADN program.
• Obtains passing grades ("C" or better) in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing.
• Carries a current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
