STUDENT ATHLETE ADVISOR II

Responsibilities

  • Provides counseling and advising to student-athletes on major and career planning, and maintains accurate and timely information on academic progress.
  • Affords assistance in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Student-Athlete Academic Support Services Center.
  • Affords assistance in coordinating student-athlete orientation and performs eligibility evaluations.
  • Prepares various reports including graduation plans, weekly academic progress reports, end of semester grade reports and certification reports.
  • Works with faculty and staff to proctor exams for student-athletes at non-standard times or while traveling for athletic competitions.
  • Adheres to all institution, conference and NCAA rules and regulations and reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.
  • Adheres to the Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required.

Qualifications

(Annual Salary: $43,890 - $48,500)

Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
