Experience: Mid-senior Start Date: To be decided Full Job Overview: Position summary: Responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department at the local level. Essential Functions And Responsibilities: Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leadersEstablish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business developmentManage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordinglyLead and contribute to the production of proposalsServe as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staffEstablish resources staffing needs for the sectionInterview and hire staff for the sectionPerform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teamsLead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited programProfessional Engineer License10+ years’ experience in (bridge) horizontal structural expProject management and business development experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Preferred Experience Experience working with local clients at the county and state levelSupervisory experience Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program.Professional Engineer License.10+ years’ experience in (bridge) horizontal structural experience.Project management and business development experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office.
