Structural Section Head | Civil Site Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Civil Engineer to lead and expand our civil site practice in the Charleston, SC office.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with office managers and practice leaders.
• Expand market presence through marketing and business development initiatives.
• Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Lead and contribute to the development of proposals.
• Provide technical expertise to project managers and engineering teams.
• Assess resource and staffing needs for the department.
• Conduct interviews and hire staff as required.
• Perform performance reviews, incorporating feedback from project managers.
• Guide and manage team members through effective leadership, goal setting, coaching, and continuous performance management.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in site civil engineering.
• Expertise in project management and business development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
