About the role
The position is located in New England and offers a hybrid work schedule. The role involves managing and leading teams in the design and construction administration of complex waterfront projects for public and private sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Performs structural marine and waterfront engineering assignments that are broad and varied in nature, requiring sound application of technical codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Manages and oversees engineering planning and design assignments at key stages of projects.
- Analyzes complex problems, modifies methods, procedures, processes, and proposes new alternative solutions.
- Prepares and coordinates project deliverables including contract documents.
- Reviews and seals contract deliverables.
- Ensures Stantec's engineering and design procedures and guidelines are consistently and correctly applied on projects, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
- Executes safe work practices and work plans while completing field and office work.
Requirements
- Highly skilled in technical and functional aspects of the role.
- Proven ability in staff supervision and leadership; experience directly managing others is required.
- Demonstrates strong collaboration, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
- Possesses strong communication and presentation skills.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in one New England state with ability to obtain licensure in other states within 6 months of employment as needed.
- Experience with engineering design tools such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, Microsoft Project, and structural software such as CSiBridge, Shoring Suite, and Optimoor.
- Prior experience with US Federal agency engineering and construction projects (NAVFAC, USACE, AFCEE, etc.), or similar port and marine transportation entities is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of five years of relevant structural marine and waterfront structures experience.

Pay
$90,900.00 - $131,800.00 Annually
