Structural Engineer - Ports & Maritime

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the management and direction of projects
  • Create complete sets of structural drawings and technical specifications independently
  • Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
  • Carry out structural design calculations, oversee project document preparation, and maintain a quality control program
  • Participate in construction phase tasks for building projects in structural engineering
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design team members during meetings and presentations
  • Identify project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of relevant engineering design experience
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for drawing and detail creation
  • Knowledge and proficiency in structural analysis and design software like STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and others
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Continuous mindset on personal and staff development
