About the Role
This position is responsible for the removal of mandrel and staging of hose for the Finishing Operator.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the product for processing based on work instructions and apply designated pressure for blow-out.
- Troubleshoot removal issues to maximize production quantity.
- Remove excess water from processed hose.
- Complete associated paperwork and indicate hose length for next stage processing.
- Transfer mandrel for next stage processing.
- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures to eliminate unreasonable risk to health and the environment.
- Notify management of unsafe conditions, unlawful activities, or activities posing health/environmental risks.
- Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
- Prevent excess waste of product/components by operating equipment efficiently.
- Maintain production schedules.
- Participate in peer-based teams (e.g., Natural High Performance Teams) and work with groups to implement programs like Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Production work experience preferred but not required.
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Good math, reading, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to exercise continuous mental, visual, and audio attention.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes.
- Near vision acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks.
- Constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail.
- Must pass pre-employment screening.

- Ability to work overtime, including short-notice overtime and weekend coverage to meet business needs.
Organizational Relationships
- Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader.
- Work closely with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues.
