Strategic Optimization Specialist

Job Summary

The DC Strategic Optimization Specialist is responsible for collaborating with BJ’s internal business units, as well as key vendor partners to develop and execute strategies that will drive efficiencies for the organization and as a result reduce total Ambient & Perishable DC operations costs. This is accomplished using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance DC operations processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret relevant data (costs, productivity, volume patterns, etc.)
• Investigate problems, root cause analysis, and develop solutions
• Develop periodic performance reports and distribute them to key distribution operations stakeholders
• Provide analytical support for projects, strategic initiatives, and proposals
• Cook up DC Operations activities as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field and/or demonstrates capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience
• 2-4 years of retail, distribution experience preferred
• Supply Chain Management experience is a plus
• Tableau or other data visualization experience is a plus
• SAP or similar ERP systems experience is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced Excel skills required

Pay

Starting from $68,500.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
