Strategic Finance Manager

About the role

The Strategic Finance Manager will own strategic finance and FP&A across Arc’s company. This includes building and owning Arc’s operating model, forecasts, and long-range plan across Consumer, Commercial, and Defense segments. They will also lead the creation of board materials, investor updates, and monthly internal reporting that goes directly to the CEO and Board. Additionally, they will drive the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts, working closely with leaders across engineering, production, and sales to ensure financial outcomes and guide pricing, hiring, and capital allocation decisions.

Responsibilities

• Create and own Arc’s operating model, forecasts, and long-range plan across Consumer, Commercial, and Defense segments
• Lead the creation of board materials, investor updates, and monthly internal reporting that goes directly to the CEO and Board
• Drive the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts, conducting variance analysis and providing insights
• Partner with leaders across engineering, production, and sales to translate operating plans into financial outcomes and guide pricing, hiring, and capital allocation decisions
• Design scalable, AI-enabled reporting and planning workflows as the first dedicated hire on the strategic finance team

Requirements

• 5+ years in investment banking, strategic finance, or FP&A at a high-growth company
• Proficiency with advanced financial modeling in Excel and building clear, executive-ready presentations
• Corporate finance fundamentals, with fluency connecting operational drivers to three-statement forecasts and telling the story behind the numbers
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity, manage multiple workstreams, and sweat the details under tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Solid accounting foundation (GAAP fluency, close experience) with willingness to support month-end close alongside the accounting team
• Passion for using AI tools to automate workflows and multiply your output
• Experience in hard tech, manufacturing, marine, automotive, or aerospace and defense
• Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
• Enthusiasm for boating and the water
