This role is based full-time in Arlington, VA. Candidates currently based in San Francisco must be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area.

Role Summary

The Finance and Operations team focuses on critical business problems, providing visibility and decision-making support across the organization. This role requires a highly analytical, strategic, communicative, and problem-solving individual, eager to contribute from the ground floor.

What You'll Own (Core Responsibilities)

  • The Model: Build and own Twenty's financial model end-to-end, driving annual planning, headcount ledger, board reporting, and decision-making analytics.
  • FP&A & Reporting: Run semi-annual budgeting and ongoing headcount planning, establish reporting infrastructure for visibility, and translate financials into actionable insights.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Partner with Founders and VP Finance on fundraising efforts, build the data room, and manage monthly executive updates and quarterly board reporting.
  • The Operating Cadence: Manage compensation design, offer generation, performance structures, and spend policies.
  • Special Projects: Engage in real estate, market research, vendor strategy, software procurement, and other special initiatives.

Who You Are

  • 1-5 years in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a top-tier startup.
  • Mastery with Excel and Google Sheets, capable of building a highly legible three-statement model and conducting scenario modeling.
  • Detail-obsessed, formatting as a tool for cross-functional communication.
  • High horsepower, diving in headfirst on various projects.
  • Urgent, creating your own urgency when necessary.
  • Generalist by instinct, applying first principles across finance, hiring, contracts, and operations.
  • In-person builder, seeking to spend your career around kind and smart people.

Nice to Have

  • Industry Experience: Background or interest in software, AI, cyber, defense, or intelligence.
  • AI Pilled: Daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
  • Sense of Humor: Ability to generate Nano Banana images.
