Role Summary

The Finance and Operations team at Twenty focuses on critical business problems, providing visibility and decision-making support across the organization. This role requires a highly analytical, strategic, communicative, and problem-solving individual with a passion for building a company from the ground up.

What You'll Own (Core Responsibilities)

  • The Model: Build and own Twenty's financial model end-to-end, driving annual planning, headcount ledger, board reporting, and the analytical engine used for decision-making.
  • FP&A & Reporting: Run semi-annual budgeting and ongoing headcount planning, establish reporting infrastructure for transparency, and translate financials into actionable insights for leaders.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Partner with the Founders and VP Finance on fundraising efforts, build the data room, and manage monthly executive updates and quarterly board reporting.
  • The Operating Cadence: Manage systems for compensation design, offer generation, performance structure, and spend policies.
  • Special Projects: Engage in various initiatives such as real estate, market research, vendor strategy, and software procurement.

Who You Are

  • 1-5 years in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a top-tier startup.
  • Mastery with Excel and Google Sheets, capable of building a highly legible three-statement model and conducting scenario modeling.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring formatting enhances cross-functional communication and addressing small issues to prevent larger problems.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to tackle complex tasks independently.
  • Adept at applying first principles across finance, hiring, contracts, and operations, recognizing the underlying skill set in each area.
  • An in-person builder, seeking to work with kind and smart colleagues to refine their craft and advance a critical mission.

Nice to Have

  • Prior industry experience in software, AI, cyber, defense, or intelligence.
  • Daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
  • A sense of humor, with proficiency in generating nano banana images.
