This role is based full-time in Arlington, VA.

Role Summary

The Finance and Operations team focuses on critical business problems with high visibility. Responsibilities include building and owning the financial model, running semi-annual budgeting and ongoing headcount planning, fundraising, operating cadence, and special projects.

What You'll Own (Core Responsibilities)

  • The Model: Build and own Twenty's financial model end-to-end, driving annual planning, the headcount ledger, board reporting, and decision-making analytics.
  • FP&A & Reporting: Run semi-annual budgeting and ongoing headcount planning, stand up reporting infrastructure, and translate financials into actionable insights.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Partner with the Founders and VP Finance on fundraising, building the data room, and executing monthly executive updates and quarterly board reporting.
  • The Operating Cadence: Run systems for compensation design, offer generation, performance structure, and spend policies.
  • Special Projects: Manage real estate, market research, vendor strategy, software procurement, and other initiatives.

Who You Are

  • 1-5 years in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a top-tier startup.
  • Mastery with Excel and Google Sheets, building a highly legible three-statement model with scenario modeling.
  • Detail-obsessed, formatting as a tool for cross-functional communication.
  • High horsepower, diving in headfirst on various tasks.
  • Urgent, creating your own urgency and applying first principles across finance, hiring, contracts, and ops.
  • Generalist by instinct, enjoying a wide problem space and refining your craft while advancing a critical mission.
  • In-person builder, wanting to spend your career around kind and smart people.

Nice to Have

  • Industry Experience: Background or interest in software, AI, cyber, defense, or intelligence.
  • AI Pilled: Daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
  • Sense of Humor: Nano Banana image generation ability.
