Job Summary/Purpose
Qualified to ANSI/ASME N45.2.6 requirements to perform inspections, examinations and testing associated with the receipt and dedication of purchased material.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, examinations and testing associate with the receipt and dedication of purchased material. (ANSI Level I, II)
- Reviews, approves, and reports inspection, examination and testing procedures and results. (ANSI Level II)
- Performs warehousing functions as required.
- Accurately pick and pack material manually of up to 50 lbs. Utilize mechanical equipment for heavier material. Process material returned from the field.
- Unload material, inspect for damage and accurately count to complete receiving process then put away in proper bin location.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and problem solve to reconcile inventory differences.
- Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick list to accurately locate and pull required material. Perform basic computer functions (entry, lookup, etc.).
- Print and apply appropriate shipping labels.
- Participates, supports and complies with all health, safety, quality and lean initiatives and requirements. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Superintendent.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum education required of the position: Degree preferred but not required
- Minimum experience required of the position: 2-3 years stores experience or related work experience.
- Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Must be able to manually lift 50lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks.
- Demonstrate some knowledge of stores concepts and methods.
- Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Some problem solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies.
Any Certificates, Licenses, etc. Required for the Position
- Certification to operate powered industrial truck.
Working Conditions
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
