Essential Job Functions
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of workspace.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow associates.
- Adhere to the Crowne Plaza brand standards.
- Washes and stores in proper places all dishes, trays, utensils, cups and small equipment for the department.
- Responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet functions (buffets and receptions).
- Responsible for taking out trash to the dumpster, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Aid cooks and chefs in plating up food and running food for buffets.
- Checks machine to be sure it is operating correctly and reports any defects immediately.
- Cleans and keeps neat dish room area including detergent storage are and belt line from the dining area.
- Responsible for washing pots and pans by hand.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Ensure stewarding is on task and help when necessary.

Education & Experience
- 0-1 Years steward/dishwashing experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a hotel kitchen. This role routinely uses the dish machine, sanitizer sinks, mop, broom, dustpan, cleaning agents, etc.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Subjected to wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noises.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position with expectation to work necessary business hours to ensure business needs are met during the operation of the Culinary Department.
