Staging and Configuration Technician

About the role

We are accepting applications for a Temp to possible Permanent Staging and Configuration Specialist to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. This in-office position is responsible for gathering critical information for AV hardware, rack fabrication, and system testing. We seek self-motivated and reliable technicians who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. Responsibilities

• Display understanding of basic AV systems
• Display knowledge of AVIXA rack-building standards
• Gather critical information from AV hardware:
  • Serial numbers
  • MAC addresses
  • Firmware versions
  • Software versions
  • Username and password
  • IP addresses
• Test and configure AV equipment:
  • Update firmware
  • Mock up system in lab per engineer-provided drawings
  • Build AV equipment racks per AVIXA standards
• Maintain AV warehouse inventory spreadsheet
• Maintain AV rack fabrication area
• Work with AV programmers to push system configurations and programming to AV systems
• Assist AV engineers with testing AV systems in shop
• Package, label, and ship AV systems once fully tested

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Ability to use basic hand tools
• Ability to work overtime as requested by AV Engineering Manager
