Responsibilities
- Lead daily scheduling and dispatching: Coordinate hundreds of caregiver appointments with precision, ensuring client needs are met and care plans are followed
- Manage change and prioritize quickly: Handle last-minute schedule updates, cancellations, and emergency coverage with professionalism and efficiency
- Optimize staffing operations: Track caregiver availability, balance workloads, and ensure schedules comply with company policies and state regulations
- Collaborate for success: Work closely with field operations, HR, and recruiting teams to identify staffing trends, fill coverage gaps, and support retention efforts
- Guide and support your team: Train and mentor dispatch staff and communicate clearly with caregivers about schedule updates or concerns
- Maintain operational excellence: Accurately document scheduling actions, maintain compliance, and uphold Elara Caring’s mission and values in all activities
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Requirements
- Education: 60 college credit hours or 2+ years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or service environment required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in staffing, scheduling, or dispatching, preferably in home care, healthcare, transportation, or call center operations
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities
- Proficiency with scheduling software or workforce management systems
- Excellent communication across phone, text, and digital platforms
- Ability to manage 300+ schedules or service calls daily with accuracy
- Knowledge of Medicaid and home care benefits preferred
- Reliable Transportation to perform job duties
- Willingness to participate in occasional weekend or holiday on-call rotations
