Staffing Coordinator Healthcare

About the role

Harmony Utica Ridge is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to help ensure our residents receive exceptional care by maintaining appropriate staffing coverage for our nursing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating with leaders to keep daily operations running smoothly. As our Staffing Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in scheduling, payroll support, attendance tracking, and ensuring our nursing departments are staffed to provide outstanding resident care.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for every shift
• Coordinate staffing for open shifts, call-ins, vacations, and other scheduling needs
• Maintain accurate daily and monthly staffing records
• Assist with payroll verification by ensuring nursing staff hours are accurate
• Track employee attendance and communicate concerns with nursing leadership
• Partner with the Director of Nursing and leadership team to support daily operations
• Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local staffing requirements
• Promote a safe, organized, and resident-centered environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities
• Foster positive communication with residents, families, employees, and visitors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous scheduling, staffing, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership and other departments
