About The Position

Our healthcare staffing agency is hiring a Nursing Staffing Coordinator to manage the daily scheduling and placement of school nurses across New York City. This is a fast-paced coordination role that requires strong organization, responsiveness, and excellent computer skills. The coordinator plays a critical role ensuring that schools receive reliable nursing coverage each day.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign school nurses to daily assignments across NYC
  • Confirm nurse availability and communicate assignment details
  • Respond to early-morning call-outs and arrange coverage
  • Track assignments, attendance, and schedule changes
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and updates
  • Operate the agency’s scheduling software and staffing coordination systems
  • Maintain nurse records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Ensure nurses properly use scheduling systems to confirm assignments
  • Troubleshoot software issues and assist nurses with system usage
  • Monitor system data to ensure schedules and records remain accurate
  • Track required nurse documentation and onboarding records
  • Maintain organized digital files and compliance records
  • Ensure nurses meet agency and client credentialing requirements
  • Serve as a primary contact for nurses regarding assignments and schedules
  • Maintain clear documentation of communications and scheduling changes
  • Cook up with recruitment, billing, and supervisory staff
  • Axiliary with administrative and coordination tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills required
  • Experience working with scheduling software, databases, or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Ability to troubleshoot system usage issues and assist staff with software navigation
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced staffing environment
  • Comfortable with an early morning start time (6:00 AM)
  • Experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, or healthcare staffing preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
