Staffing Coordinator-Full time

About the role

The Staffing Coordinator position at MercyOne Genesis is responsible for operating the automated staffing and scheduling system, maintaining database and system integrity, coordinating staffing, and determining resource allocation for designated patient care areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate the automated staffing and scheduling system
• Maintain database and system integrity
• Cover all shifts including weekends and holidays
• Determine resource allocation for designated patient care areas
• Coordinate staffing based on standards and philosophies of Genesis Medical Center
• Interact with a variety of people inside or outside the organization
• Communicate with moderate difficulty and sensitivity
• Deal with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Minimum 40 words per minute typing speed
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Ability to interact with a variety of people inside or outside the organization
• Communication skills of moderate difficulty and sensitivity
• Interpersonal skills required
• Experience dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters

Schedule

Monday - Friday, with a holiday rotation
