As a Staffing Coordinator at MercyOne, you will operate the automated staffing and scheduling system, maintain database and system integrity, and coordinate staffing and resource allocation for designated patient care areas based on the standards and philosophies of Genesis Medical Center. This role involves interaction with a variety of people inside or outside the organization, requiring moderate interpersonal skills and the ability to handle moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters.

Responsibilities

• Operate the automated staffing and scheduling system
• Maintain database and system integrity
• Coordinate staffing and determine resource allocation for designated patient care areas
• Engage in detailed and lengthy dialogues and exchanges of information with internal and external stakeholders
• Navigate moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Proficiency in word processing with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Moderate interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive communications
