Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain monthly staffing schedules and daily nursing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Monitor and calculate nursing staffing hours to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of CNAs, CMTs, and Nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and personnel records.
- Process Payroll Change Notices (PCNs) for new hires, terminations, status changes, wage increases, and leaves of absence.
- Conduct reference checks and employment verifications for prospective candidates.
- Maintain an up-to-date contact database for all nursing personnel.
- Follow up with new hires to ensure onboarding requirements, credentials, and compliance documentation are completed.
- Auxiliary duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Staffing Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of staffing regulations and scheduling practices within healthcare.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems, payroll processes, and Microsoft Office applications.
