Service Coordinator

Position Summary

This is an entry-level position. Employee will gain skills through structured training and guided on-the-job training. This position will involve both time in the field at project sites and time in the office. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied to non-routine work. Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Progression will require an employee to demonstrate skills and knowledge of their current position. Employee remains at each position for at least 24 months.

Essential Functions

  • Aid with preparing and obtaining purchase orders.
  • Aid with preparing proposals for service calls and projects.
  • Aid with obtaining vendor/subcontractor quotes.
  • Oversee subcontractors in the field, including testing companies, electrical subcontractors, surveyors, waste removal, etc.
  • Aid with coordinating and scheduling work with Service Technicians.
  • Aid with project invoicing.
  • Aid with procuring construction permits.
  • Prepare supporting data tables in Excel.
  • Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
  • Adjust and correlate data.
  • Recognize discrepancies in technical data.
  • Follow operations through a series of related, detailed steps or processes.
  • Work as part of a team or individually.
  • Perform any other duties per the direction of the Service Manager.
  • Follow the dictates and recommendations of the Safety Department.
  • Be familiar with CEI Corporate HASP or project-specific HASP, as required.

Competencies

  • Exercise limited judgment on the details of work.
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills.

Education

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations in receiving ordinary information, preparing, inspecting, or reviewing documents.
  • Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time and move about an office and/or work site the other half of the time.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (30+ lbs / 13.6+ kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs of force is more common.
  • Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain).
  • Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds).
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and standing.
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will involve regular work time at our Medley headquarters, combined with regular work time in an outdoor, construction project environment, which involves exposure to all weather conditions, such as hot, humid, rainy, and/or snowy winters.
