Staffing Consultant - Agency Recruiter
About the role
As a Staffing Consultant, you will find, interview, and qualify job seekers for temporary/contract roles with companies and organizations in your local market. This is a full-cycle recruiting role, covering the entire process from sourcing to placement. You will engage with job seekers through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, building strong relationships by coaching them throughout their job search—from resume editing and interview preparation to post-interview feedback and job acceptance.
You will also collaborate with your team to discuss open positions, post job advertisements, and utilize online sourcing tools. Success in this role requires resourcefulness, initiative, and a strong ability to judge character, as you will determine the best job fit based on candidates' capabilities and business needs. This is a relationship-focused sales position where your effort directly impacts your results.
Responsibilities
- Identify prospective candidates via job board search tools, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and professional networking
- Proactively cold call to identify prospective candidates
- Post jobs on job boards
- Interview prospective candidates
- Prepare candidates for interviews with client companies, including resume reviews, discussing client needs, and conducting mock interviews
- Contact candidates post-interview to recap discussions and provide next steps
- Extend job offers and manage the offer process for candidates
- Check in with candidates on assignment to ensure they have everything they need
