Staff Nurse - Urgent Care

Role Summary

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to staff education, mentorship, and precepting of new employees.
• Support provider staff, foster collaboration, and promote excellent customer service, especially for pediatric patients.
• Engage in systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
• Flexible assignment across different areas based on patient needs within the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with various organizational levels and healthcare settings preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
• Must hold a BSN or obtain it within five years.
• Licensed as an RN in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Onsite presence and ability to work effectively under pressure, with a focus on teamwork and delivering high-quality patient care.
