Staff Nurse - Urgent Care

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient care with a focus on family-centered approach.
• Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care for patients of all ages and developmental stages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care tasks.
• Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in staff education, precepting, and mentoring roles.
• Support provider staff, promote collaboration, and ensure efficient, high-quality pediatric care with excellent customer service.
• Utilize systems-based practices, informatics, and technology systems such as electronic medical records.
• May be temporarily assigned across different areas based on patient needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience working with various organizational levels; healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
• Education: BSN or obtaining within 5 years; current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Certification in Basic Life Support required; additional certifications may be necessary.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
