About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient‑centered care across all age groups, demonstrating knowledge and skills to address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
- Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties while supporting quality improvement, safety, and evidence‑based practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service, particularly for pediatric patients.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems; participate in system‑based practices and staff education.
- Accept temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with healthcare teams and electronic medical records (preferred).
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – or must be obtained within 5 years.
- Current Ohio RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience
- Minimum of one year preferred.
- No supervisory experience required.
Schedule
Part‑time, onsite presence required.
