Staff Nurse - Urgent Care

Role Overview

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Deliver comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Exhibit leadership, perform professional duties, and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Participate in staff education, precepting new employees, and mentoring clinical staff.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient operations, high-quality care, and exceptional customer service for pediatric patients.
• Utilize informatics and technology, including electronic medical records, to enhance patient care.
• Provide system-based practice and adapt to temporary assignments across departments based on patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Leadership ability, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience working collaboratively within healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Education & Licensing

• BSN or ability to obtain within five years, and current RN license in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
